Chanukah Story Time @ Borders –Sunday, Dec 2th 2:00 PM
Enjoy an interactive Jewish Story Hour. This program will give children the opportunity to get into the holiday spirit!
Complete with puppets and hands-on stories, this program will give children the opportunity to get into the holiday spirit! Participants will also make a special Chanukah craft.

CLIFTONPARK’S FIRST EVER GIANT CAN-ORAH
The construction of a Giant CAN-orah (food can Menorah!) is going to be the highlight of the Clifton Park Chanukah Wonderland. Each year Clifton Park Chabad presents an exciting Chanukah program that is fun, educational and hands on. Last year, Chanukah Wonderland at Clifton Park Center, featured a Giant Balloon Menorah, olive oil workshop, and many exciting crafts & games.
“We are always looking for new ideas to keep the kids at the edge of their seat. The CAN-orah was perfect” said Rabbi Rubin “Chanukah is about bringing light into this world. One can of food doesn’t seem like much, but a CAN-orah built with over 100 food cans is sure to add more light into this world.” In addition to the Giant CAN-orah, the event will feature Chanukah Theater, menorah crafts and delicious Chanukah treats.
Participants will contribute to the CAN-orah, each family adding a can of food, and when it’s all done, special lanterns will be inserted and the Menorah will be kindled. After the holiday the food will then be donated to the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York to distribute to the needy and hungry.
The message of Chanukah is about overcoming challenges and bringing extra light into our surroundings. In keeping with Chanukah’s message of spreading light to everyone, the theme of this year’s Grand Menorah lighting is: Light up the World: Help needy families by donating food; Light up Chanukah: Join us as we light the CAN-orah!
The complete Giant CAN-orah was erected at the Chanukah Wonderland, Clifton Park Comfort Suites. In order to encourage people to participate in this worthy cause, admission to the event was a can of food.
