 Challah Bakers Kneaded!

Shabbat has long been a means to reconnect with ourselves, our families and our community. And nothing embodies the Shabbat table more than delicious fresh baked Challah. Join Jewish women from across the many cross sections of our community for the ultimate Challah extravaganza. We weill knead, braid, shape and bake together.

Baking challah is a time-honored Mitzvah dating bake to our Matriarchs. It is taught that when a woman bakes Challah and makes the appropriate blessings on the dough, she is bringing additional blessing into her home and into the food that she lovingly prepares for family & friends. It is a time for women to pray for their personal needs, the needs of their families, their communities etc.

By bringing a large group of women together to bake Challah, in addition to learning a wonderful skill & inspiring unity in our community, our hope is that our joint prayers will be so much more poignant.

Groups of friends can request to be at the same table. This event is for women and girls 16 years and over.
