Virtuoso Pianist Performance
Virtuoso Pianist Gershon Wachtel will perform Sunday, September 17th, 7:30pm at Skidmore’s Filene Recital Hall.
Gershon Wachtel has a masters of piano performance from NYU and has toured the US and Europe, performing concerts over the past 30 years. Wachtel accompanied the US Women’s Gymnastic Team in the 1976 and 1980 Olympics. His repertoire includes Classical, Jewish, and Broadway music.
His artistic creations and graceful style have been realized in Carnegie and other Music Halls around the country. Wachtel has been featured on CBC Radio, NBC TV and CBS, and he recently appeared in Parliament in Ottawa to perform the Canadian National Anthem.
The Pre-Rosh Hashanah program entitled “Overcoming Difficulties with Faith and a Sense of Humor” combines motivational speaking with a world class piano performance.
